Training Agenda Benelux Jan-June 2009
MPLS gives new momentum to the trend to homogenize and integrate heterogeneous network structures. Both service providers and operators of enterprise networks rightly consider MPLS an option to successfully meet the increasing challenges made on the multi-service networks of the future.

Course Contents
• Label Switching Router and Label Switched Path
• Forwarding Information Base and Forwarding Equivalence Classes
• Label Distribution and LDP
• IP Routing in MPLS Networks
• Rerouting of Label Switched Paths
• MPLS VPNs According to RFC 2547 with MP-BGP-4
• Cross-Provider VPNs: Carrier's Carrier and Carrier-to-Carrier
• Traffic Engineering via MPLS
• DiffServ and IntServ with MPLS
• Pseudo Wires
• VPLS-Virtual Private LAN Service
Detailed Table of Contents

The course contents will be deepened by hands-on exercises in a router network.

In this course of the ExperTeach Networking series, each student will receive the comprehensive ExperTeach course documentation.

Target Group
This course is designed for everyone who wants to gain detailed know-how of MPLS on the protocol layer.

Knowledge Prerequisites
A profound knowledge of the standard LAN and WAN technologies and a solid know-how of the TCP/IP protocol stack, including IP routing, are essential. Experience in the topics VPNs, BGP-4, and Quality of Service will be helpful, but are no mandatory prerequisites.

Course Objective
The imparted contents will enable the students to become actively involved in the design and implementation of MPLS networks. In addition, the participants will gain a deeper know-how of the protocol applications enabling them to work out customized solutions.
