The ExtremeXOS Implementing Redundant Networks (EIRN) training course provides instructor-led lectures and extensive laboratory exercises. The course presents the concepts and commands required to configure redundancy features available with ExtremeXOS. This course is a prerequisite for ENS certification

•  Redundant Networks and Ports
• ExtremeXOS features that enable network redundancy
• Configuring Redundancy Using Spanning Tree
• Configuring Multiple Spanning Tree
• Ethernet Automatic Protection Switching (EAPS)
• Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol

Target Group
The primary audience for this course is network switch administrators tasked with implementing network redundancy in an Extreme Networks switch environment.

Knowledge Prerequisites
Students need the ENA certification or equivalent skills and experience. ExtremeXOS: Operations and Configuration is recommended as a preparation. Additionally, solid theoretical and practical understanding of networking basics, TCP/IP addressing, subnet masks, bridging, and other LAN fundamentals is required as well as hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Extreme Networks switches.
