As opposed to the ENA (Extreme Networks Associate), it is not sufficient to attend courses in order to be certified as a ENS (Extreme Networks Specialist). To achieve the ENS certification, an exam has to be passed.
This 4-hour-test is composed of four parts. Three of them consist in solving practical assignments which are based on the contents of the courses required for this certification. The fourth part contains 30 multiple choice questions.
To pass the test, more than 75 % of the questions and the practical tasks have to be solved correctly.
Knowledge Prerequisites
It is recommended to participate in the courses ExtremeXOS: Implementing Advanced Security, ExtremeXOS: Implementing Redundant Networks, ExtremeXOS: Implementing Advanced OSPF Networks and ExtremeXOS: Implementing Multicast Routing as a preparation for the test.
