This course imparts practical experience with the design of storage area networks. This includes the definition of requirements made on a SAN solution, the identification of questions to be solved, the presentation of various design scenarios, and the choice of a cost-effective solution. The course imparts a solid understanding of system architectures, features, and benefits of the Cisco MDS 9000 switches. This knowledge is required to select the appropriate Cisco storage networking products and the right positioning of these components in the various designs. The contents of this course prepare the participant for test no. 642-355 (CSSDS).

This course is recommended as a preparation for the certification as Cisco Storage Networking Solutions Design Specialist (CSSDS). It addresses all employees who are responsible for the designing of efficient SAN solutions from the definition of the business requirements up to finding possible alternatives.
Knowledge Prerequisites
