This BootCamp combines the courses CWLF and CWLAT. It addresses technically-oriented employees responsible for the design, distribution, installation, and performance of site surveys for the sector 802.11 wireless LAN solutions and imparts a thorough understanding of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network. The seminar presents the devices and concepts of the autonomous and lightweight access points. It also imparts a clear-cut concept of the WLAN technology as the basis for the applications and of the security aspects as well as of high-end WLAN design and the integration of the WLAN components into the cabled LAN infrastructure. An important component of the network design consists of the techniques of the site survey for 802.11 wireless LAN implementations. Management components, such as the Wireless Control System and the Wireless Solution Engine, are indispensable aids for the implementation of large-scale WLANs. Security will also appropriately be dealt with in the course: central security, security in autonomous access points, and the connection to Cisco Secure ACS, Network Access Controller and WLSE Intrusion Detection Systems. Finally, troubleshooting is another point on the agenda. The seminar treats the topics relevant for the examinations as Cisco Advanced WLAN Field Specialist (642-587 AWLANFE) and as Cisco Advanced WLAN Design Specialist (642-586 AWLANSE).
