The CCIE certification is the highest certification level of Cisco Systems. As a CCIE Security, you will be able to design, install, configure, and secure complex IP networks. The CCIE certification requires a theory exam (CCIE Security Written Exam 350-018) and a practical exam in the Cisco lab.

Course Contents
• Preparation for the CCIE certification
• Purposeful and efficient presentation of the topics relevant for the theory test. The contents of the course will be specifically adapted to the requirements of the written exam.

In contrast to common seminars, this course does not focus on the imparting of general, wide-spread know-how. Instead, the students will be able to close existing know-how gaps with the help of an experienced CCIE and Cisco trainer.

In the CCIE workshop, selected information material about the relevant topics and a sample test will be provided.

Target Group
This CCIE® course was specifically created as a preparation for the Security exam and therefore exclusively addresses students intending to become certified as CCIE® or aiming to recertify their Professional status.

Knowledge Prerequisites
The CCIE® certification demands wide-ranging and profound know-how about networking technologies, as well as their implementation and configuration. This can be proved e.g. with a CCSP® certification and appropriate practical experience. Students intending to participate in this course need comprehensive knowledge about security, classical networking technologies and protocols, which in part can be gained by attending security, routing, and switching courses. However, this know-how has to be extended by means of intensive self-studies.
