The CCSP certification (Cisco Certified Security Professional) validates advanced knowledge and skills required to secure Cisco networks. With a CCSP, a network professional demonstrates the skills required to secure and manage network infrastructures to protect productivity and reduce costs.
From June 23, 2009, a valid CCNA Security exam is a necessary prerequisite.
Cisco recommends the following courses to prepare for the necessary exams:

Please note: This certification path is mandatory from June 23rd, 2009.
Until June 22, 2009, the CCSP certification can still be obtained in the "old" way.
CCSP certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum, or pass a current CCIE written exam.
