The CCNA Security certification is based on the CCNA Exam and will be a prerequisite for the CCSP certification from June 6, 2009. At the same time, the CCSP certification itself will be changed. You can find more information here.

Individuals passing any current CCNA concentration exam (wireless, security, voice) will automatically recertify their expiring CCNA concentration, CCNA or CCENT certification. Passing any 642 professional level exam or written CCDE or CCIE exam will also recertify a CCNA Concentration.
