New Courses and Exams:
The BSCI exam will be replaced by the ROUTE exam 642-902 and the BCMSC exam will be replaced by the SWITCH exam 642-813, both available from March 10, 2010.
The exams 642-901 (BSCI), 642-812 (BCMSN), and 642-892 (composite exam) will be offered until July 31, 2010. Afterwards, only the new exams will be available. The BSCI and BCMSN exams as well as the composite exam will only be accepted for three years after passing the exam for a CCDP certification.
The CCDP certification addresses network designers, consultants, and account managers responsible for the development of suitable structures using Cisco components.
Preconditions are valid CCNA and CCDA certifications.
Cisco Systems recommends attending the following courses as a preparation for the required exams:
